Mind

The Mind is very powerful, and it is the best instrument we have. The Mind can do everything — except be the Soul. The mind cannot possess immortality. It is limited by time and space and by the manifested Universe. The Mind cannot reach the Transcendent. The Mind has created philosophy, worldviews, beliefs, all technological inventions, and all the achievements of civilization — yet the mind cannot enter Samadhi.
One may gain the whole world and still not attain the Self. The mind is always directed outward — toward expansion, searching, and discovery. But to realize the Self, one must go inward, not outward.
There is no need to fight the Mind — on the contrary, it should be made an ally, and then it will perform everything necessary. But if you allow the Mind to rule you, it will become your fiercest enemy.
The Mind can lead you to Samadhi, but beyond that point, the mind must be left behind. Then Non-mind arises. This is a transcendent leap into the Unknown — from certainty to uncertainty, from mind to Soul, from death to Immortality.
