Pulsation

Pulsation is a form of matter's existence and eternal movement. Everything in the Universe has its own rhythm: from the beating of a human heart to the expansion of entire Galaxies.

In music, Pulsation has a non-acoustic nature. It is an invisible thread upon which the beads of melody, rhythm, and harmony are strung. Just as the string in prayer beads connects the beads through emptiness, Pulsation organizes the "void" between sounds, binding everything into a single whole that we call music. Pulsation is the axis where the still center (Shiva) interacts with the continuous movement of energy (Shakti).

The uniqueness of Shakti Orchestra's performance lies in the concentration on the flow of musical Pulsation. However, we do not create Pulsation — it already exists; the performer is merely its messenger. Pulsating pauses and intervals become portals linking acoustic sound with the non-acoustic invisible world. This is true Yoga — the immortal union of idea and form, Shiva and Shakti, sound and silence.
