Lila

The Lord created this world. He also created other worlds, and all these manifestations are His Cosmic Play — Lila.

The diverse forms of life in the Universe are different manifestations of the Lord's Lila. Every living being (jiva) is His emanation, and the jiva traverses a very, very long path to eventually reach its Source. Initially, the living being moves along the path of descent into matter, and upon reaching the final point, begins its upward movement toward the Source.

Among 84 million forms of beings, only the human form has the opportunity to make a complete turn and direct its movement back to where it came from. Only a human can attain the ultimate Samadhi, in which there is no duality. Only in Samadhi can one comprehend the Universal Divine Lila.
