Krishna

A golden image of Krishna dancing in the center of the universe, uniting the stillness of Shiva and the dynamic play of life into a single circle of Advaita.

Mahavatar Baba said: “Every event that happens in the world is absorbed by the image of Krishna. Krishna is a Great Yogi, and we all become enlightened only through some part of the whole. But Krishna is the Yogi who unites within himself the entire creation, all art. In order for yoga to become closer to people, He descended to us, to the earth. If you truly immerse yourself in the study of yoga, you will see the image of Krishna.

…what is the difference between Shiva and Krishna? One of them is still, the other is always immersed in play. They are two sides of the same coin. Together they form the circle of Advaita, complementing each other. For if there were no play, stillness would not exist. There exists a certain need, and there exists that which satisfies it. This is what creates the face of our world. Otherwise, we would strive for nothing.”
